Suites are slightly larger, but their color schemes and furnishings are more dated than in the rooms. Sadly their contemporary decor is a departure from all the historical artifacts downstairs. The rooms run a little small at 400 square feet, but are adequate for a Downtown stay. Men get a more modern glimpse of history in the restroom off the casino floor, where there’s a bona fide chunk of the Berlin Wall on display. Taking a walk through the casino is like being in a well-organized, less-dusty antique shop the chandeliers come from the Coca-Cola building in Austin and the Figaro Opera House in Paris, France, and the ornate hammered-tin ceilings are also vintage. The Victorian-themed Main Street Station is an underrated hotel and one of the great bargains in the city.
